Here at Shadows Of Your Mind magazine (and associated website) we value our privacy so why wouldn’t we value yours too?
With the exception of the odd competition we may run, we have no interest in collecting your data or personal information. However to follow the rules we will set out the basis on which any personal data site may collect from you, or that you provide to the site, will be processed by the Magazine. Please read the following carefully as it will inform you as to how we will use your personal data and how the magazine will treat it.
Competition links in the magazine or on the website will generally ask you to submit your details in an email or forward you to the relevant competition page on this website. To enter a competition run by us we may ask for you to fill out a form with your basic personal details such as name, email address and if applicable a postal address so we can post out your prize out should you be a successful entrant. This basic information is not stored in any format on the website so you can be confident that in supplying the relevant information, it will only be visible to the intended recipient – namely us or the relevant third party who is running a specific competition. This will be made clear in the competition terms and conditions or which our general ground rules can be viewed here.
Of course if you leave the magazine or website via a link or form provided, you will be subject to the policy of that other website provider. Not ours. The magazine has no control over whatever policy or terms that website has decided to implement so if you’re unsure, check their policy before continuing to access the site.
COMMENTS ON/LIKING/SHARING ARTICLES
When you post a comment on the website through one of our articles or repost or share one of our articles you will have to provide certain information which may include a genuine contact email address (for nothing other than comment validation purposes to stop the global spambot machine) or external profile information from social media sites which is already in the public domain and which was agreed to be shared upon application to such sites.
We may in the future provide a newsletter to keep you updated of new issue publications and at that point we will ask for a contact email address. We will naturally provide an unsubscribe link should you choose not to receive further updates down the line. In the event that the magazine does choose to produce a newsletter, we will inform you (before collecting your data) what the magazine intends to use your data for and if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. The site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of other networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites. Please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that the magazine does not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
