Here at Shadows Of Your Mind magazine (and associated website) we value our privacy so why wouldn’t we value yours too?

With the exception of the odd competition we may run, we have no interest in collecting your data or personal information. However to follow the rules we will set out the basis on which any personal data site may collect from you, or that you provide to the site, will be processed by the Magazine. Please read the following carefully as it will inform you as to how we will use your personal data and how the magazine will treat it.

Competition links in the magazine or on the website will generally ask you to submit your details in an email or forward you to the relevant competition page on this website. To enter a competition run by us we may ask for you to fill out a form with your basic personal details such as name, email address and if applicable a postal address so we can post out your prize out should you be a successful entrant. This basic information is not stored in any format on the website so you can be confident that in supplying the relevant information, it will only be visible to the intended recipient – namely us or the relevant third party who is running a specific competition. This will be made clear in the competition terms and conditions or which our general ground rules can be viewed here.

Of course if you leave the magazine or website via a link or form provided, you will be subject to the policy of that other website provider. Not ours. The magazine has no control over whatever policy or terms that website has decided to implement so if you’re unsure, check their policy before continuing to access the site.

When you post a comment on the website through one of our articles or repost or share one of our articles you will have to provide certain information which may include a genuine contact email address (for nothing other than comment validation purposes to stop the global spambot machine) or external profile information from social media sites which is already in the public domain and which was agreed to be shared upon application to such sites.

We have provided an email address for the purposes of submitting articles for editorial consideration and the terms and conditions for doing so are clearly laid out in the magazine. We will use these details you provide for correspondence only, and only if further discussion is warranted. This correspondence however will be stored on secure external mail hosting servers provided by but only visible to the magazine’s editor, elected representative, or an employee of for maintenance or operational requirements, until such time as the correspondence is deleted. While we acknowledge the internet on the whole is not 100% secure and data breaches may happen, the magazine will do its best to protect your personal data, although any transmission of said data is at your own risk. Once the magazine has received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. We reserve the right to transfer this information for future correspondence should we transfer to another hosting company and by submitting your data you agree to such a transfer. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

We may in the future provide a newsletter to keep you updated of new issue publications and at that point we will ask for a contact email address. We will naturally provide an unsubscribe link should you choose not to receive further updates down the line. In the event that the magazine does choose to produce a newsletter, we will inform you (before collecting your data) what the magazine intends to use your data for and if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. The site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of other networks, advertisers and affiliates.
